Questions about the tools
Are these tools really free?
Yes. No signup, no ads, no credit card. We built them for our own audits and client work and keep them open because they are useful. A soft rate limit stops scripts hammering them.
Do you store the URLs I check?
Results are cached briefly so repeat checks are fast (three minutes for Tag Explorer, an hour for the CMS detector) and then dropped. We do not build a history of what you look up.
Can I use them from a script or an AI agent?
Tag Explorer has a documented JSON and plain-text endpoint at /api/tools/tag-explorer. The other fetch-based tools answer JSON at /api/tools/<tool>?url=. Keep to the 40 requests per 10 minutes limit or ask us for a key.
Why did a tool say a site blocked it?
Our scanner fetches from a server, and some sites answer servers with a bot challenge instead of their page. The tools report the HTTP status they saw rather than guessing. Check the site in your own browser for the rest.
